Hair grows on a 28 day cycle. If you wax every 4 weeks, it will take approximately 4 waxes (4 weeks apart) to train the hair to all come in at the same time. If you are consistent with your waxes, you will have longer periods of time during those 4 weeks without hair!
You should allow 3 weeks of growth from your last shave and 4 weeks from your last wax.
Hair will not grow back, thicker, darker, stronger. Waxing tears hair off from the root, which causes the hair follicle to get weaker over time. Weak hair follicles produce softer and thinner hair. However do not expect dramatic change from a couple of appointments. It will take some time to see a substantial change.
Waxing double as exfoliation. When wax is applied and stripped off, the outer layer of skin and dead flaky skin cells are removed along with the wax. The skin will be exfoliated and have an improved texture. Don't exfoliate 24 hours to 48 hours prior to waxing to avoid irritation.
Normal waxing responses are bumps, redness, pimples, itching, breakouts, outbreaks, and stubble.
Avoid friction, heat, direct sun, heavy lotions, or deodorant for 12-24 hours after waxing.
Breakouts are common, especially on the face, back, chest and bikini.
Do not tweeze, shave, or use hair removal products in between waxing services.
